Fundamental Baking Techniques Classes

If you want to learn how to bake your own cakes, breads, pies, chocolate treats and other confectionary delights, we recommend the following special curriculum of six hands-on classes. We’ve developed this course to familiarize you with the fundamentals of baking. The following sequence will allow you to build your basic baking skills in a logical progression. But please feel free to take our classes in any order that works for you.

We will be offering these basic classes as both morning and evening sessions, in a repeating cycle, to accommodate your daily schedule. Please see the Calendar or By Date pages for dates and times.

1. Artisan and Yeast Breads
2. Croissants, Puff Pastries and Danish (Laminated Breads)

6. Candy, Chocolate and Confections

Fundamental Baking II: Advanced Techniques

After you have mastered the basic skills, expand into the more challenging territory of professional cake decorating.

2. Flowers, Complex Borders and Color
3. Frostings and Icings

Fundamental Baking III: French Pastry Series

We offer the fine art and craft of French Pastry baking.

Class prices shown are per person (unless noted). You will need to provide a credit card number to reserve a space in any class.

Cancellation policy:

When you register for a class, you reserve a slot that determines how much food we buy and how many work stations we set up. You are also counted in the total number of students, which determines whether the class will be held.

If Kitchen Table cancels a class due to low enrollment, your full payment will be refunded.

If you cancel five or more days before a class, a refund will be available.

If you cancel less than five days (and more than two days) prior to a class, we will issue a Kitchen Table gift card redeemable for another class or products in our retail store. This option applies only if you cancel more than two days before the class begins.

If you cancel within 2 days (48 hours) of class start time, whether due to illness, job loss, personal emergencies or events beyond your control, no refund, transfer, gift card or credit will be made.
