The foods of Spain are anything but simple. Spain is a melting pot of cuisines from all over the world. There are several regions of Spain that stand out when you discuss Spanish Foods and each of these regions are very different in what they offer. Madrid is a melting pot of cuisines from all over the region and the capital of Spain is rich in its gastronomy with contributions from the Andalusians, Galicians, Asturians, Catalans and other immigrants who have settled in the area. The bold and strong foods of Madrid surprise even the most particular of gourmands. Our Chef has created an exciting menu which highlights some of the most popular dishes of Madrid.
Start by tossing up some Spiced Almonds to munch on while working on the rest of the menu. You will prepare Croquettes with Serrano Ham and Manchego Cheese. Next will be Clams and Shrimp with Andouille Sausage spiced with Smoked Paprika. The final course will be Braised Oxtail served on a bed of Crispy Potatoes. WOW - very tasty and very traditional.
Our sommelier has selected some up and coming wines from southern Spain to pair with this traditonal menu for an additional $25.
