Regions of France - Brittany/Normandy
A Regional Foods Class
The cuisine of the sister regions of Brittany and Normandy, France, are known for their simplicity and richness. Dominating these regions are freshly caught seafood and rich dairy products. Normandy is the land of dairy, with a variety of cheeses too numerous to list, rich butters and creams. Normandy is also known for its prized lamb. Brittany's most famous contribution to the culinary world is the crêpe filled with both savory and sweet items. Brittany is also known for its fresh seafood and shellfish. Fresh, green vegetables are given healthy respect at the table.
Chef Thomas has created an exciting menu incorporating the best dishes from these two regions. You will start by preparing Steamed Mussels Meuniere. Next comes delicate Herb Crêpes with Mushrooms and Boursin Cheese. For the main event, you will prepare Mustard Coated Roasted Lamb served with Pommes Anna, Creme Fraiche and a Red Wine Reduction.
Our sommelier has selected some excellent wines from the nearby regions to pair with Chef Thomas' menu, and for an additional $25.00, you can sample these delicious wines.
