Wine Foundation Class: The Italian Experience - Tuscany & Piedmont
A Wine Foundation Class
The most popular food country in the world is also home to a wide array of amazing wines designed to pair perfectly with their cuisine. Take a journey through two of the most revered and important wine growing regions of Italy: Piedmont, home of Barolo and Barbaresco and Tuscany, the land of Sangiovese. If all these names intimidate you but you know you like Italian wines, then it’s time to get better acquainted with this very approachable wine country. Light appetizers will be paired with the wines for this evening.
We will taste wines that are true representations of the terroir of Piedmont: a Barolo or Barberesco, a Barbera, a Dolcetto, a white Arneis and a sweet and slightly effervecent Moscato
From Tuscany we will taste a Vernaccia di San Gimignano, a Chianti, a Brunello di Montalcino and a Super Tuscan.
