French people who live out in the country tend to enjoy simple foods, comfort foods, foods that are flavored with the fresh herbs and vegetables that grow in their gardens. You can just smell the delicious aromas of stews and thick sauces flowing from their kitchens.
Chef Thomas has created a menu where you will learn to prepare Classic Chicken Fricassée aux champignons (a dish somewhere between a sauté and a stew) with a delicious wild mushroom cream sauce. This dish will be accompanied with cauliflower and bacon fritters and a crisp potato rosti. To top off the menu you will prepare a classic apple tarte tatin that will tilt this meal into unforgetable.
For an additional $20, our Sommelier, has selected a 2008 Louis Jadot Beaujolais and a 2007 Jean Luc Colombo, Côte du Rhône "les Abeilles"
